image    Estranged, alienated, isolated. Is this what that feels like?
   Certainly there’s folks all around– kind folk, those whose only intention is to help him acclimatize, but there’s just a lack of familiarity. SHIELD was his new life, but for what?
   The captain’s all-seeing eyes wandered longingly across the tops of the skyscrapers of New York, unable even now to visualize how it looked to his previous self. He offered the woman beside him a quick nod to acknowledge her question, and heaved a nostalgic sigh as he brought himself back to earth.
          ’ Yes ma'am, I’m fine. I just– guess I’m not in Kansas anymore. ’
